Day Eight
Today in class, we talked about globalization. Globalization is the connection of different parts of the world, which is referred to as interconnectenis. Globalization results in the expansion of international, cultural, economic, and political activities. Globalization is often associated with "Americanization." We learned about the Silk Road and how China made silk for trade with other countries. The Silk Road connected markets of Asia, Arabia, Mediterranean, and Eastern Africa. China didn't just make silk, but also tea. We also learned about Japan and the increase of fast food restaurants, which includes McDonald's, KFC, and many more. This effects the life expectancy of the Japanese.
